Dr. Alejandro Betancourt performs Rio Grande Valley’s first sacroiliac joint fusion

Alejandro Betancourt, MD, of Harlingen (Texas) Spine & Neurosurgical Institute, performed Rio Grande Valley’s first sacroiliac joint fusion surgery at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, according to a Valley Morning Star report.

Dr. Betancourt used SI-BONE’s iFuse Implant System, a minimally invasive system, to perform the procedure.

 

Dr. Betancourt is a board-certified neurosurgeon and a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons.
