The program, the result of a pairing between the WellStar Health System and Pediatric Orthopedic Associates, provides orthopedic services to patients up to age 21.

Officials with WellStar say the move demonstrated the hospital’s commitment to serve children at a location closer to home, adding that the service’s decor will reflect child-friendly colors and aesthetics.

The hospital, officials said, will also provide a comfortable waiting room for parents and guardians in a pre- and postoperation area so that updates can be administered quickly by physicians.
