AMA appoints Dr. Morgan Lorio CPT advisor

The American Medical Association appointed spine surgeon and spokesperson for the Spine Health Foundation Morgan Lorio, MD, as CPT advisor.

“Dr. Lorio continues to make a powerful impact raising awareness and advocating on behalf of spine patients for SHF,” said Carol Conduff, SHF Founder. “We are enthusiastic about this appointment and know that he represent[s] physicians and hospitals in areas vital to the future of spine care and patients.”

 

In this position, Dr. Lorio will support the CPT Editorial Panel in its work as steward of the CPT code set.

 

Dr. Lorio practices at Neuro-Spine Solutions in Bristol, Tenn. He is a member of the American Boards of Orthopedics and Spine Surgery.
