When asked why they don’t spend more time on personal or family financial planning, respondents reported:
• Lack of time — 56 percent
• Not my area of expertise — 25 percent
• Someone else in my family handles on — 8 percent
• Don’t think about it — 6 percent
• Isn’t a priority — 3 percent
