Amir A. Mehbod, MD (Twin Cities Spine Center, Minneapolis). Dr. Mehbod is a staff surgeon at Twin Cities Spine Center in Minneapolis. He is a clinical instructor at the University of Minnesota and is also on the board of directors for the Foundation for Advancement of Spinal Knowledge.

He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Medical Association, Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society and Scoliosis Research Society. He focuses on spinal deformities, conditions of the degenerative spine and spinal trauma and tumors. He has won a number of awards, including the Louis A. Goldstein Award for best clinical poster presentation from the Scoliosis Research Society.

 

Dr. Mehbod earned his medical degree at Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, D.C., and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. His has also completed spine fellowships at Twin Cities Spine Center and the University of Bordeaux in France.
