As part of his new role, Dr. Mjaanes will serve as the official physician for the team in their match on Nov. 1. He will also cover the practices.
Dr. Mjaanes also serves as a head physician for the DePaul University Blue Demons and is one of the team physicians for the United States Soccer Federation. He is director, Chicago Sports Concussion Clinic at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. He focuses on concussion management, non-surgical fracture care, joint and musculoskeletal injections and compartment pressure monitoring. He has completed a sports medicine fellowship at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, Ill.
