William C. Tally, MD (Athens Regional Medical Center, Athens, Ga.). Dr. Tally, MD, is a board-certified spine surgeon practicing at Athens Orthopedic Clinic. His hospital affiliations include Athens (Ga.) Regional Medical Center and St. Mary’s Health System in Athens. He also serves as a physician educator for a number of device companies, including Stryker Spine and Globus Medical. He serves on the editorial review board of the International Spine Journal.
Dr. Tally is a member of Scoliosis Research Society, North American Spine Society and Society of Minimally Invasive Spine Surgeon. He focuses on scoliosis, deformity correction, oblique lateral lumbar interbody fusion, minimally invasive surgery techniques and endoscopic techniques. He also has a professional interest in cervical herniated discs and lumbar degenerative disc disease.
Dr. Tally earned his medical degree at Wake Forest University School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, N.C., and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. He has also completed a combined orthopedic/neurosurgical spinal reconstruction fellowship at Pennsylvania Hospital/University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and A.I. Dupont Children’s Hospital in Wilmington, Del.
