Evalina Burger, MD (University of Colorado Hospital, Aurora). Dr. Burger is a professor of orthopedics and senior orthopedic spine surgeon at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. She has a special interest in adult spinal deformity and reconstruction.
In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Burger has a passion for new technology and techniques. She examines evidence-based outcomes and conducts research into metal properties, which led to new designs for titanium rods in scoliosis procedures. She earned her medical degree at B. University of Orange Free State in South Africa and completed her residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Pretoria.
Dr. Burger was the first female spine surgeon selected for the ABC fellowship in 2000.
