Walter EckmanWalter Eckman, MD (Aurora Spine Center, Tupelo, Miss.). Dr. Eckman opened his private practice in 1976 and moved to Tupelo in 1985. He founded the Aurora Spine Center in 1992 and has a special interest in less invasive procedures for degenerative spine conditions.

 

He has performed more than 1,000 minimally invasive lumbar discectomy procedures and has a special interest in new methods and materials for bone growth.

 

Dr. Eckman completed his training at the University of California San Francisco and Stanford University. He also served as a neurosurgery resident at the University of Western Ontario, Canada.
