For one-fourth of physicians, collecting deductibles has become more challenging since healthcare reform was enacted, according to Physicians Practice’s 2014 Great American Physician Survey.

•    No effect — 46.4 percent
•    Collecting deductibles have become more challenging — 25.1 percent
•    I’m seeing more chronic-needs patients — 15.8 percent
•    I see more patients than I used to – 15. 7 percent
•    I have joined/planning to join an accountable care organization — 15.1 percent
•    I’ve been dropped by certain insurers — 10.7 percent
•    My practice will become a patient-centered medical home — 10 percent
•    It has forced me to drop out of Medicare, Medicaid or other programs — 9 percent
•    My practice has hired more physicians — 7.7 percent
•    I no longer take Medicare patients — 6.5 percent
•    My practice has become hospital-owned — 4.3 percent
•    I am no longer accepting new patients — 3.1 percent
•    It has boosted my business tremendously — 1.8 percent
