Dr. James Andrews tapped as featured speaker at Arkansas Orthopaedic Forum

James Andrews, MD, founder of Andrews Institute for Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine, will be the featured speaker at the 30th Annual Arkansas Orthopaedic Forum, according to an Arkansas Matters report.

Dr. Andrews is also a founding member of the American Sports Medicine Institute in Birmingham, Ala., and co-director for intercollegiate sports at Auburn University. He has a research interest in knee and shoulder injuries, and was instrumental in developing the STOP Sports Injuries campaign, aimed at preventing injuries in youth athletes.

 

Dr. Andrews is also known for his work with professional athletes. He has treated some of the most well-known athletes in the world over the past few decades, including Michael Jordan and Brett Favre.

 

At the forum, Dr. Andrews will speak on the history of sports medicine and achieving success in orthopedics.
