Mohammad Diab, MD (UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital, San Francisco). Dr. Diab is the chief of pediatric orthopedics at Benioff Children’s Hospital San Francisco. He has a special interest in spinal deformities and is an expert at treating hip dysplasia and other hip disorders.

 

In 2002, Dr. Diab joined UCSF after serving as a faculty member at the University of Washington. During his career, he authored the worldwide standard textbook — Principles of Pediatric Orthopaedics — and several studies on pediatric orthopedic conditions. He is a member of several professional organizations, including the Scoliosis Research Society and American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He also holds a chair in medical education at UCSF.

 

Dr. Diab earned his medical degree from Stanford University School of Medicine and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Washington School of Medicine. His additional training includes a fellowship in pediatric orthopedic surgery from Harvard University.
