It is included as an alternative to spinal fusion. According to the website, “Unlike spinal fusion, the implant provides stability without completely restricting motion.”

Paradigm Spine focuses on developing non-fusion spinal implant technology, and is the manufacturer of the coflex Interlaminar Technology, a motion preserving minimally invasive treatment for moderate to severe spinal stenosis after decompression.
