Dr. Prasarn’s clinical interests include spinal trauma and tumors, degenerative spinal disorders, kyphoplasty, spinal fusion, spine reconstruction, revision spinal surgery and complex fractures and non-unions. He is also actively involved in research, and in 2011, he won the Foundation for Orthopaedic Trauma Research Grant. Dr. Prasarn is a journal reviewer for Spine Journal and Journal of Trauma, Injury, Infection, and Critical Care.
Dr. Prasarn earned his medical degree at New York University School of Medicine and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami. He has completed two fellowships, one in orthopedic trauma at Hospital for Special Surgery in New York and another in spine at the University of Rochester (N.Y.). He has also been a visiting spine fellow at MD Anderson Cancer Institute in Houston.
