Dermatologists are most likely to own a solo practice, according to Jackson Healthcare’s Physician Practice Trends 2014.

The survey includes responses from 1,527 physicians. It was conducted between April 18 and June 5.

 

Here are seven specialists who are most likely to own a solo practice:

 

•    Dermatologists — 55 percent
•    Ophthalmologists — 43 percent
•    Behavioral health specialists — 34 percent
•    Women’s health specialists — 29 percent
•    Primary care specialists — 28 percent
•    Musculoskeletal specialists — 27 percent
•    Surgery subspecialists — 22 percent
