Dr. Benjamin DuBois Performs San Diego’s 1st Match Point Shoulder Replacement

Benjamin DuBois, MD, has become the first orthopedic surgeon in San Diego to use the Match Point system — a new preoperative planning software.

Dr. DuBois provides care at Grossmont Orthopaedic Medical Group in San Diego. He used the system to perform a conventional total shoulder replacement.

 

The preoperative planning software modifies the surgeon’s operative plan based on his or her preference. After the surgery is planned, a 3D-printed disposable model is created to accommodate the patient’s anatomy. The technology has been developed by DJO Global.

 

“I am very excited to be able to bring this cutting edge technology to my patients here in San Diego,” said Dr. DuBois.
