Drs. Matthew Stiebel, Gary Ackerman Open Clinical Trial for KineSpring Implant

Matthew Stiebel, MD, and Gary Ackerman, MD, of Palm Beach (Fla.) Sports Medicine & Orthopaedic Center, in collaboration with Jupiter (Fla.) Medical Center, have opened a clinical trial of KineSpring, a new implantable device, according to a TC Palm report.

The device is intended to treat the symptoms of osteoarthritis of the knee. The trial will test the safety and efficacy of the KineSpring device.

 

Around 100 patients in the U.S. have received the KineSpring System implant through clinical trials, according to the report.
