Dr. Selene Parekh Among First to Use Google Glass During Surgery

Selene Parekh, MD, is one of the first orthopedic surgeons in the U.S. to use Google Glass during surgery, according to a Star News Online report.

Dr. Parekh is an orthopedic surgeon at Duke University Hospital in Durham, N.C.

 

The device allows surgeons to look at X-rays and other information without turning away from the patient. Dr. Parekh will also use the device to stream live feeds of his procedures to surgeons in India, according to the report.
