The program was made possible through a $2.5 million donation to the hospital last year by Anthony Yeung, MD.
The surgical technique can be used to treat patients suffering from sciatica as well as herniated discs in the lower back. The hospital has equipped its operating room with the tools needed for the technique, according to the report.
