Philadelphia’s Rothman Institute names Michael Sheerin Senior Vice President

Former University of Pennsylvania Health System Associate Executive Director Michael Sheerin has been named senior vice president at Rothman Institute, a large orthopedic practice based in Philadelphia, Pa, according to a news release by the Institute.

“Michael will be a key senior team member in helping develop and implement our strategic initiatives to meet the challenges of a changing health care environment,” Mike West, Rothman Institute CEO, said in the release.

Mr. Sheerin’s new responsibilities include overseeing the practice’s operations, assisting with strategic planning; and acting as practice liaison to regional health systems and hospital partners. Additionally, Mr. Sheerin will oversee Rothman’s ambulatory surgery centers as well as Bucks County Specialty Hospital.
