The researchers analyzed a three-dimensional technique that uses high-speed computerized tomography imaging to navigate in and around the spinal column. They published their findings in six articles published in the peer-reviewed journal.
1. It allows surgeons to more precisely and accurately place reconstruction screws in the spine.
2. It helps reduce or avoid complications, postoperative pain and the need for follow-up surgeries.
