AAOS Board of Directors Adopts New Strategic Plan

The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons Board of Directors has adopted a new strategic plan, according to an AAOS Now report.

The plan — “Vision 20/20” — outlines AAOS core values and strategic domains. David Teuscher, MD, and a workgroup structured the new strategic plan, which was adopted at the AAOS annual meeting last week. The new strategic plan’s core values are:

 

•    Excellence
•    Professionalism
•    Leadership
•    Collegiality
•    Lifelong learning

 

The strategic domain addressed in the plan includes: education, advocacy, membership, organizational excellence and patient value and quality.
