The mission trip was organized by the American Association of Orthopedic Medicine, a nonprofit dedicated to teaching nonsurgical treatment techniques for musculoskeletal problems to physicians. Dr. Bond serves on the board of directors of the association.
The medical team performed more than 2,000 regenerative orthopedic procedures on more than 1,200 patients during the mission trip, according to the report.
Dr. Bond serves as a team physician for the U.S. Ski & Snowboarding Team, and has previously served as chief of sports medicine at LSU Medical Center in New Orleans.
