Top 5 Drivers of NP & PA Dissatisfaction

Supervisors and management is the biggest source of dissatisfaction for nurse practitioners and physician assistants, according to “Advanced Practice Trends 2012-2013,” released by Jackson Healthcare, a healthcare staffing company.

The report includes responses from 395 survey respondents. The survey was conducted online from November through December 2012.

 

The top five drivers of NP and PA dissatisfaction, according to the report, are:

 

•    Supervisor/management — 27 percent
•    Feeling undervalued — 22 percent
•    Salary — 19 percent
•    Issues with support staff — 13 percent
•    Physician attitude — 11 percent
