Erie County Medical Center Plans $12.5M Renovation for Orthopedic Program Expansion

Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo, N.Y., announced it is planning a $12.5 million renovation to expand its orthopedics program, according to a Buffalo Business First report.

The hospital will renovate its skilled nursing unit and convert it into additional space for its orthopedic program. The unit will be upgraded to include 22 private patient rooms, a physical therapy rehabilitation area as well as space for pre-surgery orthopedic educational classes.

 

The state’s Department of Health have yet to review the plans, according to the report.
