AANS/CNS Support New Trauma System Bill

The American Association of Neurological Surgeons and Congress of Neurological Surgeons sent a letter to U.S. Congressmen Michael Burgess, MD, and Gene Green supporting the “Trauma System and Regionalization of Emergency Care Reauthorization Act.”

The bill would reauthorize programs that provide grants to states for planning, implementing and developing trauma care systems. The bill would also establish pilot projects to design, implement and evaluate innovative emergency care system models, according to the letter.
