3 Statistics on Impact of EHR Systems on Care Coordination

A majority of physicians believe that their electronic health record system has not improved coordination of care with hospitals, according to a national survey commissioned by Medical Economics and administered by MPI Group.

The survey includes responses from nearly 1,000 physicians.

 

When asked if they think their EHRs have improved care coordination with hospitals, respondents reported the following:

 

•    No — 69 percent
•    Yes — 20 percent
•    Unsure — 11 percent
