The layoffs affected five employees from the hospital’s nursing floor as well as two respiratory therapy and two housekeeping employees, according to the report. Hamilton Memorial employs roughly 150 workers.
Hospital officials said the hospital has experienced a drop in inpatient admissions, as more patients seek care in outpatient settings, according to the report.
