Biomet’s net sales were also up 4.5 percent this past quarter, totaling $825.7 million. Spine sales increased 2.3 percent from $102.6 million to $104.9 million. The biggest growth was seen in knees, which increased 6.6 percent to $264 million.
The company’s 2012 acquisition of DePuy Orthopaedic’s trauma products has helped increase growth over the last year.
