Spine Surgeon Leader to Know: Dr. Matthew Gerlach of Front Range Orthopedics

Matthew Gerlach, MD, is an orthopedic spine surgeon at Longmont, Colo.-based Front Range Orthopedics. He also provides care at Avista Adventist Hospital in Louisville, Colo., Boulder (Colo.) Community Hospital and Exempla Good Samaritan Medical Center in Lafayette, Colo. He is a member of North American Spine Society, Society of Lateral Access Surgery, Colorado Orthopaedic Society and Colorado Medical Society.

Dr. Gerlach is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons. His clinical interests include disc herniation, sciatica, osteoporotic compression fractures, scoliosis, spondylolisthesis, spinal stenosis, degenerative disc disease and failed back surgery syndrome. He has a professional interest in minimally invasive treatments of the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine.

 

Dr. Gerlach earned his medical degree at University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, and he has completed a fellowship in adult and pediatric spine surgery at Rocky Mountain Spine Clinic in Lone Tree, Colo.
