Cooperative Clinic Staff Impacts Patient Experience

An article recently published in Medscape Medical News covered how clinic staff relationships can impact patient satisfaction.

The article, based on a study published in the Annals of Family Medicine and conducted at primary care clinics, showed that clinics with lower Work Relationship Scale scores had lower patient satisfaction ratings. The WRS asked patients to measure whether the clinic encouraged nursing staff input for making changes and whether most people at the clinic were willing to help change in response to feedback.

Interestingly, the survey found no association between WRS scores and the variables of receiving quick care and clinician wait times.
