Dr. Duffy is certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, and his clinical interests include cervical disc degeneration, cervical spondylitis, degenerative spinal disorders, lumbar sprain, scoliosis, lumbar herniated discs, spinal cord injury and spinal compression fractures.
He has experience in practice management and gaining patient volume in addition to his clinical expertise.
“Marketing your practice is like marketing anything else,” said Dr. Duffy in a Becker’s Spine Review article. “You need to get your name, specialty and interests out there to the consumer — in this case, primary care physicians, internists and family practice physicians. You need to go out and stop by their offices and shake their hands. I teach our junior attending physicians to meet people in their medical community and introduce themselves.”
Dr. Duffy earned his medical degree at the University of Nebraska College of Medicine in Omaha. He completed his orthopedic residency at Orlando (Fla.) Regional Healthcare, and he has also completed a spine surgery fellowship at the Texas Back Institute.
