Seton Spine & Scoliosis Center Participates in Nerve Ablation Trial

Seton Spine & Scoliosis Center in Austin, Texas, is now enrolling patients for a multi-center SMART trial to test the safety and effectiveness of the Intracept procedure, according to a Community Impact Newspaper report.

The Intracept is a minimally invasive approach that uses radio frequencies to ablate the basivertebral nerve, which may reduce chronic lower back pain.

Participants will receive study-related treatments at no cost, and they are expected to be able to return to work the next day.
