1. In order to participate in an ACO, ASCs need to be prepared to meet certain requirements, including legal structure, common leadership, information system and quality reporting.
2. ASCs could become part of a local/general network, which would involve working with familiar providers.
3. ASCs could become part of a wide/specific network, which would involve working with providers in a larger geographic area and bidding for all ACO contracts in that area.
