Dr. Truumees is board certified and focuses on cervical, lumbar and thoracic spine disorders. His clinical interests include back injuries, cervical herniated discs, degenerative spine, discectomy, laminectomy and lumbar degenerative disc disease.
“I have a great job that’s different every day,” said Dr. Truumees in a Becker’s Spine Review article. “I can contribute in a host of ways from the office to the OR to the lab. I work with outstanding, motivated and intelligent people. But, the best part of the job comes when a patient and their family put their trust in me to take them to the operating room, address their pathology and guide their road to recovery.”
Dr. Truumees earned his medical degree at the University of Virginia School of Medicine in Charlottesville and completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Cleveland Clinic. He has also completed a fellowship in spine surgery at Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak (Mich.).
