Dr. Murrey is board certified and focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of spinal degenerative diseases, disc replacement, arthritic conditions, spinal fractures, spinal tumors, spinal fusion, cervical spine diseases and deformities such as scoliosis.
“In the absence of information, everyone assumes the worst,” said Dr. Murrey in a Becker’s Spine Review article. “It really is important that transparency exists to keep people comfortable as part of a large organization. We’ve developed a data warehouse here that has become an integral part of management and governance. It takes the suspicion off the table because everyone knows everybody’s score.”
Dr. Murrey earned his medical degree at Harvard Medical School in Boston and completed his residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn. He has also completed a spine surgery fellowship at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.
