Dr. Khoo’s clinical interests include minimally invasive spinal decompression of stenosis, percutaneous spinal fusion techniques, motion preserving spinal technologies, spinal segment regeneration, osteoporotic stabilization, image guided surgery and complex cervical spine reconstruction.
Dr. Khoo has served on the editorial board for three different publications, including The Spine Journal. He also co-authored the book An Anatomical Approach to Minimal Access Spine Surgery, published in 2005.
Dr. Khoo earned his medical degree at Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, Conn., and completed his residency in neurosurgery at University of Southern California in Los Angeles. In 2001, the Congress of Neurological Surgery awarded him the inaugural Ralph Cloward Medtronics Fellowship Award, which he completed at Rush Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago.
