Dr. Garcia is the medical director of the Scoliosis Screening Program for Dade County Schools, and has also completed a two-year term as chief of the orthopedic surgery department at Aventura (Fla.) Hospital and Medical Center. He has co-written five publications, and has presented in numerous conferences in the United States, South America and Europe.
Dr. Garcia is board certified by both the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and the American Board of Spine Surgery. His clinical interests include lumbar spinal stenosis, spinal fractures and scoliosis.
Dr. Garcia earned his medical degree at Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, where he completed his residency in orthopedic surgery as well. He has also completed a spine surgery fellowship at North Carolina Spine Center in Chapel Hill.
