Merge Names New Chairman

Merge Healthcare, a provider of clinical systems and innovations, has announced the resignation of chairman and director Michael W. Ferro.

Mr. Ferro served as the company’s chairman and a director since June 2008 and, along with his affiliates, owns approximately 26.6 million shares of the company’s common stock. The company’s new chairman is Dennis Brown, who has been associated with the company since its initial public offering in 1997.

 

Mr. Brown has experience in senior management and currently serves as the chairperson of the board’s compensation committee and member of the board’s audit and nominating and governance committees.
