Dr. Kalafut has served on several committees for the Abilene Philharmonic Association and raised thousands of dollars with her charitable work. She is board-certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation as well as pain medicine. She was the first female president of the Texas Medical Board and is a member of the North American Spine Society.
