The trials were led by Scott Rodeo, MD, at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York. Dr. Rodeo serves as the co-chief of sports medicine and shoulder service at Hospital for Special Surgery and a professor of orthopedic surgery at Weill Cornell Medical College in New York.
The pre-clinical trials found evidence that PLX cells are a promising treatment for tendon and other orthopedic injuries.
