The report includes responses from 1,200 physicians, 30 percent of whom are primary care physicians and 76 percent of whom are specialists.
When asked how many pay-for-performance programs their practices were participating in, respondents reported the following:
• None — 42 percent
• 1 to 2 — 23 percent
• 3 to 4 — 6 percent
• More than 4 — 3 percent
• I don’t know — 26 percent
