New Apps Help Surgeons Track Financial Payments From Device Companies

CMS announced that it has introduced two free mobile applications to help physicians and healthcare industry users track their payments and other financial transfers that will be reported under the OPEN PAYMENTS program or the Physician Payments Sunshine Act.

The mobile apps — one for physicians and one for industry users — have been designed with real-time 24-hour tracking technology so as to offer a convenient way to track financial data. These apps have been developed to facilitate accurate reporting of required information.

They will be available to the public and will be published annually on the OPEN PAYMENTS website.
