Researchers conducted a cross-sectional study of 2,945 adult female participants at 12 fracture clinics across Canada, the U.S., the Netherlands, Denmark and India.
The study found that 16 percent of women disclosed experiencing intimate partner violence in the past year, and 34.6 percent reported experiencing abuse at some point during their lives.
