University Medical Center to Open Orthopedic Clinic After Takeover

University Medical Center in Lafayette, La., will open an orthopedic clinic on July 1, as part of the planned expansion of services after Lafayette (La.) General Medical Center takes over University Medical Center on June 24, according to a report by The Advocate.

The private hospital will assume management of UMC on June 24, and it plans to reinstate many of the clinical services that had been eliminated or reduced in the past.

Two new resident positions in orthopedics will be created as well, according to the report.
