Around 58 percent thought that Medicare reimbursement drops and scaled-back funding for research and training programs would impact their organizations. Another 20 percent were unsure about the potential impact.
Some felt the sequestration would disproportionately affect self-employed physicians in group practice settings, forcing them to join a hospital or health system. However, many others felt the true impact of budget cuts wouldn’t be known for some time.
