Dr. Robert Watkins to Perform Spine Surgery on New York Giant Jason Pierre-Paul

Today, Robert Watkins, MD, of the Marina Spine Center in Marina del Rey, Calif., is scheduled to perform spine surgery on the New York Giants defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul, according to an ESPN New York report.

The player received epidural injections to play with an injury last season.

Dr. Watkins will perform a microscopic lumbar discectomy on the player to address a lumbar disc herniation.
