Dr. James Andrews to Perform Elbow Surgery on Atlanta Brave Eric O’Flaherty

Today, James Andrews, MD, is scheduled to perform elbow surgery on Atlanta Braves pitcher Eric O’Flaherty, according to a MLB. com report.

Dr. Andrews will perform the procedure to repair a torn ulnar collateral ligament in the pitcher’s left elbow.

The surgery will end Mr. O’Flaherty’s season. He is expected to need at least a year of rehabilitation before pitching again.
