Health Information Trust Alliance Issues Guidance for Cybersecurity Preparedness

The Health Information Trust Alliance has issued guidance that healthcare organizations can use to assess the state of their cybersecurity preparedness, according to an AHA News Now report.

The guidance identifies a subset of controls within the HITRUST Common Security Framework that are related to detecting and countering cyber-related breaches. HITRUST is asking for input before the guidance is finalized later this spring, according to the report.
