Dr. Jackson is board certified and has extensive training and experience in complex spinal cases, brain and spinal tumors, and head and spine trauma. He also specializes in cervical spine disorders, degenerative spine and lumbar spinal stenosis. He performs minimally invasive procedures, such vertebroplasty and kyphoplasty to relieve pain.

“While we are seeing more compression fractures on one end, on the other we aren’t doing a great job of treating these fractures, said Dr. Jackson in a Becker’s Spine Review article. “More specifically, when we look at these patients, our indications are primarily for pain when we are able to treat them. However, other considerations – such as quality of life, height restoration, and increasing a patient’s mobility – should be considered when determining the best course of treatment.”

Dr. Jackson earned his medical degree at Wayne State University in Detroit. He completed his residency in neurosurgery at Penn State University in Hershey, Pa. He was also a faculty instructor during a spine fellowship at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee.
